Martin, Ray
Age 88, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016. He was born February 8, 1928 in Elkhorn City, KY to Fred and Adeline Martin. He is survived by his wife, Joleen Martin; sons, C.R. Martin and Randy Martin; daughters, Joyce Yarman and Carolyn Martin-Armstrong; nine grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles Dean Martin; grandson, David Wayne Weber; two brothers; five sisters. He moved to Albuquerque in 1950. He was drafted into the US Army 1946 where he served in World War II and released; then was drafted for a second time in 1950 and served in the Korean War until 1952. He went to Browning University and received his business degree after two years; went to work for Rio Grande Steel in 1956 as a purchasing agent for 27 years. In 1970 he and three partners started Pace Ironworks. He retired in 1987.
