Raymond "Monchie" N. Gutierrez Jr.
Age 89, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018. He was born in Bernalillo, NM on February 23rd 1929 to Raymond N. Gutierrez and Beatrice C de Baca. Raymond graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1948. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1948-1952 and fought in the Korean War. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for thirty five years. Raymond attended Queen of Heaven Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Sedillo Gutierrez; father, Raymond N. Gutierrez Sr.; mother, Beatrice Gutierrez; sisters, Clarabelle Gallegos and Ella Chavez; brother, Ulyses "Buddy" Gutierrez, and grandson, Alex Gomez. Raymond is survived by his sons; Paul Gutierrez- wife Mary, Steven Gutierrez, Vincent  Gutierrez, daughters Beatrice De Bettignies  husband Bob, and Bernadette Derlein, husband Darin; 14 grandchildren;13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Raymond was a witty man that loved fishing, Broncos football and the color blue. He will be dearly missed.  Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 15th at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE, 87109. Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 16th at Queen of Heaven Church, with interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE, 87102.
