RAYMOND HUBERT HOUSTON

Age 89, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019 in Rio Rancho, NM. Raymond was born in Cimarron, NM on April 20, 1930, to William and Gladys Houston. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Gladys and "Humie" Houston, sister Daisy Houston, brother Bill Houston and by his first wife Mary Ellen Houston.

Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Betty Houston of Albuquerque, NM, daughters Ann and husband Cruz Nevarez of Albuquerque, NM, step-daughter Sherri and husband Robert Stephens of Charlotte, NC, step-sons Rick and wife Wendi Kessler of Phoenix, AZ, Jeff and wife Kate Kessler of Denver, CO.  With a blended family, he was proud to be Grandpa to 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  Two sisters, Alice Ryan and Maude Ella and husband Paul Whiteman both of Albuquerque also survive him along with his nieces and nephews.  His cats, Dudley & Sophie will miss him (and his lap) terribly.

A Celebration of life for Ray will occur on Friday, October 15th of 2021 at 10:00AM, this event will be held at the home of Cruz and Ann Nevarez, 8838 Oakland Ct. NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87122, refreshments to follow with internment at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe.
