Raymond R Prellwitz

Prellwitz, Raymond R. 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 19, 2013. He was born in Edgar, WI on January 24, 1924 to Robert and Selma (Greening) Prellwitz. Raymond , along with his loving wife, Mary Lou (before her passing in February of this year) was a resident of Good Samaritan Society - Socorro for about two years. Before Socorro, they had lived in other parts of New Mexico as well as Arizona, Wisconsin, New York, and Illinois. Raymond was a devout founding member of the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church of Prescott Valley. He was a man of great faith and loved the Lord. Raymond was a pretty handy man, a jack of all trades. He loved to build and fix things around the house. He was especially talented with wood. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Lou Prellwitz; his parents; his brothers, Elmer, Willis, and Donald Prellwitz; and his sisters, Dorothy Collier and Luella Krueger. Raymond is survived by his devoted children, Gloria Ashauer; Robert Prellwitz and wife, Caroline; Luann Jenkerson and husband, Harold; Lynette Bolles and husband, David; and his sisters, Viola Dahms; and Beatrice Pfaff and husband, Bernard. Raymond will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Seth and wife, Emily;Joseph and wife Jennifer and their baby on the way; Charlie and Esther Jenkerson; and Nathan and Mollie Bolles. A Graveside service will be held for both "Oma" and "Opa" Prellwitz on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 11:00 am with Pastor Steve Tvedt officiating in the Mountain View Cemetery, 3410 E. Pine St. Deming, New Mexico 88031. Pallbearers are his loving grandchildren.
