Rebecca Gomez Gonzales

Rebecca Gomez Gonzales, 78, of Bloomfield, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, godmother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and best friend, was welcomed into eternal life on Sunday, March 6, 2011, in Farmington. She was born into this world on September 24, 1932, in Dulce, the eldest child of Medardo D. Gomez and Mary Salazar Gomez. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Ben Gonzales; her son, Manuel Benny Gonzales; sisters, May Gomez, Celia Gomez and Cecilia Serna; and brothers, Francisco Gomez and Medardo Gomez, Jr. She is survived by two brothers; Valentin Gomez and Joseph Gomez; four sisters, Gloria Fernandez, Alvina Aguirre, Darlene Cruz, and Dolores Prado; three sons, Michael Gonzales, Medardo Gonzales, and John Gonzales; four daughters, Marilyn Henry, Rebecca Lopez-Martinez, Ramona Martinez, and Diana Place; 22 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Father Robert E. Mathieu will be the celebrant. Pallbearers are her grandchildren and honorary pallbearers will be her godchildren. Rebecca's entrusted to Cope Memorial Chapel: 405 S.
