CRABTREE - Reginald "Reggie" Lee Crabtree, 78, passed away on June 3, 2009. Reggie was born August 18, 1930, in White Plains, Kentucky to E. Leslie and Lillian May (Harrison) Crabtree. He grew up in Bisbee, AZ, where he met Barbara, the love of his life, at a young age. Reggie and his family lived in Silver City, NM from 1967 to 1993. Reggie was a lifelong career employee of the Phelps-Dodge copper mines, retiring as a metal smith. He moved to Albuquerque in 1993 after his wife's death. Reggie loved fishing, camping, and hunting; he was a true outdoorsman. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Silver City and St John's Methodist Church in Albuquerque. Reggie is survived by his daughter, Susan H. Martin, and husband James of Albuquerque; son, Phillip E. Crabtree of Austin, TX; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Benjamin, and Elizabeth Martin, Thomas, Katherine, and Andrew Crabtree, and one great granddaughter, Valexis; sister, Norma Argo of Albuquerque; and brother Earl Crabtree of Arizona. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Barbara, and one brother.
