Renee Smith

Smith died June 12, 2011, in Lake Placid, Florida. She was born October 22, 1975, in Gallup, New Mexico. Smith was born into the Red Bottom People Clan and born for the Towering House People Clan. Smith graduated from Window Rock High School in 1995. At the time of her death, she was employed with the Seminole Tribe of Florida. She was a member of several rodeo associations, Indian Junior Rodeo Association, Western Jr. Rodeo Association, Central Jr. Rodeo Association, Rocky Mountain Rodeo Association and a current card holder for the INFR Tour of 2011. Survivors include her son, Olin B. Murphy; daughters, Peyton T. Murphy, Dillion S. Ball, Casey W. Ball; parents Rena and John Smith; brothers, Don Smith, Dean Smith; sisters, Regina "Sissy" Smith-Talkali; grandmother, Maggie Smith. Smith is preceded in death by her grandparents, Hottie and Sherman Haskie, Herbert George Smith. Pallbearers will be Robert Smith Sr., Harold Smith, Tommy Smith, Jonas Smith, Marvin Becenti, and Bobby Becenti Jr. The family will receive relatives and friends at John and Rena Smith's Residence, Oak Springs, following services.
