Ret. GySgt. Jose Ramon Martinez

Martinez, Jose Ramon Ret. GySgt. Age 78, beloved father and grandfather, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013, after a brief illness. He was a lifelong resident of Bernalillo, NM. Jose was a proud Retired Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, who served one tour in Korea and two tours in Vietnam and was a two time recipient of the Purple Heart. He was preceded in death by his wife, Petronila Dolora Martinez; his parents, Margaret A. and Jose Gonzales. Jose is survived by his loving children, Margarita, Lucille, Jose, Dan and Rudy Martinez; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Jose will be greatly missed by all. Visitations will be Thursday, September 19, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church , 301 Camino Del Pueblo, Bernalillo, NM, where a Rosary will be recited at 11:00 a.m. and followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery, Bernalillo.
