Rey (Reynaldo) Lovato

LOVATO - Rey (Reynaldo) Lovato, age 85, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, completed his journey on earth and entered into Eternal Life, Sunday, December 12, 2010. He was a life long resident of La Jara, NM, where he was a devoted member of the Santo Nino Church and was a past Mayordomo, he also served as a Lector and a Eucharistic Minister to the home bound. Rey was a very proud Veteran of the United States Navy who served his country during World War II. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #23 for 42 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Cypria Lovato. Rey is survived by his loving daughters, Jean L. Garcia and Shirley Rey Lovato and husband Ben Silva; two precious grandsons, Lucas and Esteban Garcia; his brother, Donaciano Lovato and wife Celina; his sister, Marian Sanchez; sister-in-law, Dolores Lovato; niece, Liz Chavez, and many more relatives and friends. Rey will be greatly missed by all. Visitations will be Wednesday, December 15, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 9502 Fourth Street NW, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final Viewing will be Friday, December 17, 2010 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cuba, NM, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Santo Nino Cemetery in La Jara, NM. Casket Bearers will be Lucas Garcia, Esteban Garcia, Ben Silva, Rick Arias, and Eddie Lovato. Honorary Bearers will be Ruben Trujillo, Donaciano Lovato, Amarante Hererra, and the members of Los Guadalupanos. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Memorial Contributions be made to Los Guadalupanos, c/o Immaculate Conception Church, P.O. Box 40, Cuba, NM 87013.
