Naranjo, Rey M. 
Age 95, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018 in Socorro, New Mexico. He was born in Florida, New Mexico on August 26, 1922, to Benito and Olojia  Mata. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Padilla Naranjo, sons, Frankie Naranjo and Benny Naranjo, father,  Benito Naranjo, mother, Olojia Mata, grandson Francisco Horacio Naranjo Jr. and brother-in-law Lavonne (Red) Pierce. 

Rey is survived by brother, Mike Naranjo and wife Sidney, sister, Mary Pierce, granddaughters Gina Summers and Angelita Naranjo, grandson Joseph and wife Consuelo Naranjo, great-grandchildren, Horacio, Mika, Kaylane, Berlene, Joseph, Sheinka, Andrea, Adriana, Ashley, Marissa, and Anea.  

Rey had retired from the Socorro Consolidated Schools and enjoyed watching sports.  He belonged to the Knights of Columbus and to the American Legion Post in Socorro, New Mexico.  

     
Services will be on Thursday, March 15, 2018.  The Rosary will be recited at 10:00 A.M., and the Mass to follow at 10:30 A.M., at  Daniels Family Funeral Services - Socorro Chapel, 309 Garfield St, Socorro with Celebrant Deacon Mike Ybarra.  Burial will take place at San Miguel Catholic Cemetery following service.
