RICARDO TENORIO DIAZ
Lovingly known as Addo, Jiji, and Ricky Ojisan
Ricardo T. Diaz was called to his eternal home at the age of 80. He was born on October 24, 1940 in Hagatña, Guam. After WWII, his family moved to Hagat, a small village located south of Hagatña. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1960 where he met his wife Yasuko (Sue). They moved to Albuquerque in 1988 after retiring from active duty from the United States Air Force. His military tours of duty include: Amarillo AFB, Travis AFB, Cheyenne AFB, Clark AFB (Philippines), Anderson AFB (Guam), Kadena AB (Okinawa, Japan), Wakkanai Air Station (Hokkaido, Japan) and Lajes Field (Azores, Portugal). During his stint with the Air Force, he attained the rank of Master Sergeant after serving honorably for over 21 years of active military duty. After retirement, he continued working for the US Government at Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Ric is preceded in death by his father Joaquin Cruz Diaz and mother Joaquina Tenorio Diaz and brothers Vicente T. Diaz, Manuel T. Diaz, Nicolas T. Diaz, Antonio T. Diaz; sisters Andrecina Diaz Muna and Dolores D. Palomo; parents in-law Seizen Tokomura and Mashi Tokomura; brothers in-law Moises D. Muna and Sebastian Nededog; sisters in-law Francisca R. Babauta, Diana G. Diaz and Vera D. Diaz.
He will be loved and remembered by his wife of 45 years-Yasuko “Sue” Diaz; brothers Francisco T. Diaz, John P. T. Diaz, sister Maria D. Nededog; sisters in-law Consolacion Cruz Diaz, Setsuko Noborikawa, Yashiye Tokomura; brothers in-law Mateo J. Palomo, Kiyoshi Tokomura, and Seiji Noborikawa. He is additionally survived by numerous aunts/uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends. Ric will also be loved and remembered by his close and dear friends Erwin and Fusae “Yoku” Meisenbach. His loyal friends in Christ include: Eloy Tafoya and Ralph Apodaca.
