Nunez, Ricardo B.
53, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, November 23, 2014 at his home in Luis Lopez, NM with his family at his side. He was born in Truth Or Consequences, NM on June 10, 1961 to Pedro and Nellie (Benavidez) Nunez. Ricardo grew up in Hatch, NM and graduated from Hatch High School in 1979. He worked for the New Mexico State Highway Dept. and retired after 25 years of service. Ricardo enjoyed hunting and especially enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Pedro Nunez, Jr., and Tony Nunez.  Ricardo is survived by his son, Rick Nunez; his grandson, Gage Nunez; sisters, Virginia Nunez;  Martha Fresquez; Nancy Cotto; and Angie Sanchez and husband, Robert; and his brother, Juan Nunez  and wife, Kelly. The Holy Rosary will be recited on Friday, November 28, 2014 at 7:00 pm at the San Jose Catholic Church in Luis Lopez. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 10:00 am also at the San Jose Catholic Church with Father Andrew Pavlak as Celebrant.  Inurnment will take place in the  Hatch Cemetery following the services.  Pallbearer will be Gage Nunez.
