Richard G. Cowdery

Cowdery, Richard G. "Dick" CWO-4 (Ret.) Age 86, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012. Dick was born in Palo Alto, CA on October 28, 1926, to Karl and Edythe Cowdery. He graduated from Palo Alto High School. Dick's 30 years of serving his country in the U.S. Army was only one of his many life accomplishments. His service career began at age 18, WWII in the Infantry, then Finance, then Intelligence in the Army Attach� System. He and his wife had the privilege of getting to know other countries over a span of 20 years. The years in New Mexico were spent teaching Business Occupation for 13 years at TVI, volunteering at Balloon Fiesta and the Jemez Mountains, RV traveling, the Wyoming summers, golf, sports and the many good friends he made along the way were the things Dick loved. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Dorothy Terrell. Richard is survived by loving wife of 60 years, Margaret "Marge" Cowdery. Also survived by his sister-in-law, Marie McQueeney, and several nephews and nieces. Graveside Service will be held on Friday, November 30, 2012, 10:30 am, at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe.
