Richard A. Garcia

Richard A. Garcia, age 63, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 26, 2014. He was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM. Richard was a proud Veteran who honorably served his country in the United States Marine Crops. He enjoyed listening to music, making adobe churches, and spending time with his family. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Evelyn Garcia of the family home; his children, Randy Garcia, Brenda Luna and husband Russell; his precious grandchildren, Ashley Luna and husband Robert Campbell, Joseph Lash, Mark Garcia, Andres Garcia, Estrella Galvan, and Adrianna Marquez; and his great-grandson, Izaiah Campbell. Also surviving are his father, Eppi Garcia; his siblings, Janet, Flora, Carol, Charlie and Mike Garcia; brother-in-laws, Leo, Richard, and Ralph Marquez; his four legged companion, Tiger; and other numerous relatives and friends. Richard will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lives he touched. Visitation will be held Friday, May 30, 2014 from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 Fourth St., NW, where a Rosary will be recited at 8:00 a.m., followed by the Mass at 9:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Chris Gallegos, Mark Martinez, Richard Marquez, Leo Marquez, Claude Tafoya, and Jerry Olivas.
