Richard J. Gates, Jr.

GATES_Richard J. Gates, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Rick was born February 11, 1944 the son of Richard and Elizabeth Gates in Cleveland, Ohio. Rick was a retired employee of PNM where he was affectionately known as "Ramrod". He was preceded in death by his father Richard Gates, Sr. He is survived by his wife and best friend Lynn; mother Elizabeth; brother Jim; sisters Betty and Pearly; sons Charlie and CJ; daughters Angela, Sandi, and Julie. Rick had many grandchildren and his beloved canines Java, Reba, Whoopi and Maddie that shared his life. Rick lived passionately and enjoyed his friends, family, and spending time at the RamBone Rancho. Rick will be loved and missed by all.
