Dick was born in 1936 in Charles City, Iowa and received his Bachelor’s degree in business from Cornell College. He worked for many years with JCPenney before becoming Vice President of a private bank in St. Charles, IL. After retiring, he moved to Rio Rancho, NM to be near his daughter and year round golfing. A life long member of Rotary International, Dick dedicated many years to Rotary’s organizational development. He drew great joy from helping struggling students reach their potential by fostering the development and sustainment of the Rotary after school tutoring program in the Rio Rancho and Albuquerque Public Schools. Friends and family will remember Dick for his inclusive nature and generous character.  His humorous manner and positive attitude will be deeply missed. Dick is survived by his wife of 55 years Joan Beth Hillier, his daughter Rachel Hillier, son Brett Louis Hillier, and grandchildren Connor, Aiden, and Tallyn Elizabeth.  A memorial service will be held on Friday the 23rd of October from 3-6 PM at Club Rio Rancho located at 500 Country Club Dr SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
