Richard Irland

IRLAND, RICHARD Sr., 89 years old passed away in his sleep on November 24, 2012. He had been a resident of Albuquerque and southern Colorado for 49 years. Born in Missouri and raised in Chicago, Illinois he became a member of the 82nd Airborne during WW II. He was a school teacher and civil engineer in Texas and New Mexico. Richard loved sports and passed this enthusiasm to his family and friends. After his retirement from the BIA he traveled through North and South America, Europe and Asia. His latest reading included books about Egypt and love. He will be missed by his many friends and family of five children, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Wyoming-Chapel on Monday December 3, 2012 at 1:00 PM.
