Richard A. Jordan

Richard A. Jordan, age 71, passed away December 18, 2023 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.  Richard was born in Uniontown , Pennsylvania in 1952 growing up and graduating from Haileah High School in Haileah, Florida, after his parents and family moved to Florida, away from the coal mines in Pennsylvania.  Richard’s father, Robert Jordan, became a barber and his mother, Ruth E. Jordan, went to nursing school and worked there until after Richard’s Father passed away, moving to New Mexico after.  Richard made New Mexico his home in 1981.  Richard lived in Raton, Red River, Rio Rancho, and Grants, New Mexico.  He was living in Rio Rancho when he passed. 

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Jordan III, Patricia Jordan Baer, and Barry Jordan.  He is survived by his one by his one remaining sister, Suzanne Jordan.  Richard was not married and had no children.

Richard had a large variety of jobs during his life-time career, but he was happiest when he was “fixing” things.  And with his special knowledge, he could fix most anything!  He received awards from places of employment for maintenance, but his satisfaction was to “help” people with whatever was needed.  He lived a simple life, but he had a big, caring heart.

Richard enjoyed traveling, crafts, painting, and fishing.  He loved family and loved family “get-togethers.”   He will be greatly missed by remaining family members, including sister-in-law Peggy Jordan, nephews and nieces, their families, extended families and all his many, many friends.
