Richard C. LeDoux Sr., 93, lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Richard peacefully went home with the angels on June 10, 2017 at his home in Albuquerque. He was born in lower Ranchitos of Taos, NM on May 27, 1924 to Julian LeDoux and Celia Vigil LeDoux.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Julian and Celia LeDoux, his beloved wife, Mela Vigil LeDoux of 58 years, and brother, George (Tina).
He is survived by his brother, Johnny (Teresa) LeDoux of Cimarron, NM;
He is survived by his best kid, Rose LeDoux (Loretta Garcia), Richard (Loretta) LeDoux Jr., Diane LeDoux Chavez, and Agnes LeDoux; grandchildren, Paul, Mark, Eric, Carlos, Monica, Christa, and Lamacio; great grandchildren, Sherry, Paul Jr., Jared, Kyle, Isaiah, Mella, Madison, and Morgan. He is survived by his companera Sharon Cristino, numerous sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
After marrying his wife Mela Vigil-LeDoux, they moved to Albuquerque, where he lived and worked for the duration of his life. He re-visited Taos and family many times.
In his 93 years, Richard lived a very fulfilled life. His service to our country began with working in (Civilian Conservation Corp) CC camps. He was a Veteran of World War II and the Viet Nam War. He retired as SMSgt from the Air National Guard in 1984.
A spiritual man, Richard and his wife Mela were involved in multiple Marriage Enrichments, and Cursillos; they were Eucharistic ministers, members of the Spanish choir, and members of the Holy Name Society. He was a great example and inspired many to become closer to God.
His passion for his family and friends enriched his life. He was an avid outdoorsman and was most at peace at the family ranch in Black Lake. Several memories and family events occurred during these special times.
All services will be at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona St. SE, Albuquerque.
Rosary on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 6:30 pm, Funeral Mass on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 9:30 am. A reception immediately following in the Parish Hall. Pallbearers are Carlos Chavez, Andrew Flores, Paul LeDoux, Robert Trujillo, Mark Vigil, and Michael Vigil.
