Richard R. Lopez

Lopez, Richard R. Age 60, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away peacefully at his home, Saturday, December 7, 2013, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Tucson, AZ on July 15, 1953 and was a resident of the Pueblo of Sandia, where he was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Richard was a proud Veteran of the United States Army who served his country during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed using his computer, ipod and other electronic devices. He was preceded in death by his parents, Filemino and Enriquetta Lopez. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Corina R. Lopez; his children, Rochelle Lopez, Dwayne Lopez and wife Nicole, Shannon and Phillip Lopez; seven precious grandchildren, Jalen, Antonio, Reyes, Angelo, Kayla, Ignacio and Imani. Also surviving are, his brother, Ted Lopez and wife Cassandra; sisters, Estella Lopez and Terry Gastelum; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Richard will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose hearts he touched. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St. NW, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final viewing will be Wednesday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. also at Alameda Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Pueblo of Sandia, NM. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Kyle Montoya, Lyle Montoya, Steven Montoya, Michael Montoya, Dominic Montoya and Preston Montoya.
