Richard E. Lujan

Richard E. Lujan sadly departed this earth the afternoon of December 9, 2024. He was born on November 15, 1964.  After being given only few hours to survive, he instead gave us 60 beautiful years. He was born and raised in Albuquerque NM, he spent much of his life in the South Valley. Ricky faced his challenges and proudly graduated Valley High School, class of 1982.  He had a beautiful life with all his family.  He always enjoyed spending any time he could with his nieces and nephews, playing cards and doing puzzles. Ricky was always quick to tell you no, then shake your hand.  He made quite the impression on everyone he met.  Ricky made our world a much more enjoyable place to be.

He was preceded in death by his father, Benny Lujan; grandmother, Ramona Jaramillo; nephew, Fermin Lujan Jr.; godson, Reynaldo Lujan; and uncle, Joe Jaramillo. 

He is survived by his mother, Mary M Lujan; brother and sister in law, Fermin and Diane Lujan; sister, Diane Lujan; sister, Ramona Saavedra; and many loving nieces and nephews. 

Services  will begin with Visitation, Friday, 10:00 AM, Daniels Family Funeral Services - Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.  Services will commence at 11:00 AM.  Reception will begin immediately following his service at American Legion Post 118,1500 Barbara Loop SE, Rio Rancho, NM. 

Honorary pallbearers:  Fabian Saavedra, Wayne Saavedra III, Gilbert Sanchez, Joe Ray Lopez, Christopher Lopez, Santiago Lopez, Andrea Saavedra, John Jaramillo, Nathaniel and Eric and Anthony Lujan.

Interment at Vista Verde Memorial Park will be announced following cremation.
