Richard Gilbert Maestas

Richard Gilbert Maestas 74, a year resident of Rio Rancho, NM, was called to be with our Lord on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, Richard will be missed and reminisced because of  his kind and grateful attitude that impacted our lives. Richard was born August 12, 1947, in San Luis, NM.

Richard grew up in San Luis, New Mexico, a proud Veteran of the United States Army serving (25th INF DIV) from 1967 until 1970 during the Vietnam war Era. He loved his daughters (Irene and Yolanda), and Son Raymond, and 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He enjoyed time with his family and friends, Richard shared a deep passion for music, especially playing guitar with and for his family. Richards humble and kind spirit bleed through to the people that he knew. He enjoyed gardening, but most of all he enjoyed being with his grandkids and great grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his Parents Lorenzo and Barbra Maestas, Brother Vitalio, Sisters Lala, Sostena and Oliva.

He is survived by his Son Raymond, Daughters Irene (Nathan) and Yolanda (YoYo), grandchildren, Samantha (Gerald), Justo (Loren), Emmy (Alex), Alex, Andy, Reyna, Victoria, Matthew, Johnathan, and Elijah. Great grandchildren, Legend, Maximus, and Selah.

God children, Chris Ynostroza, and Eric Hunick, Robert Garcia, Ross and Darlene Saiz. Brothers, Leo, Erbie (Luisa), and Lawrence, Sisters, Nora and Mona, and several nephews and nieces.
