Richard Padilla

Padilla, Richard M. Our beloved Father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014 after he lost his battle with cancer surrounded by family and friends. A lifelong resident of Albuquerque, Richard was born on May 3 to Severo and Manuelita Padilla. Richard loved watching football and was avid Dallas Cowboy fan. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He also loved working on cars which he did after he retired from Rust tractor. Richard is survived by his daughters Roxanne Garner and husband Clay, and Rhonda Padilla; grandchildren, Desiree Padilla, Kacey Garner, Daniel Nieto, Savanna Garner, and Jordyn Garner; great grandchildren, Destiny Gutierrez and Mark Gutierrez; sisters, Lily Armijo and husband James, Annie Mirabal, Carla and husband Lawrence Nieto; brothers in law, Eugene Sellen and Vicente Chavez; Sisters-in-law, Barbara Padilla and Frances Padilla. He will be greatly missed by them all. Richard was preceded in death by his parents Severo and Manuelita Padilla; brothers, Richard, Toribio Sr., Crespin Sr., and Tony; sisters, Cora Baca, Flora Sullen, Rose Orona, Jenny Sanchez, and Grace Chavez. There will be a graveside service and Rosary, Tuesday, April 15 at 11am at Los Padillas Cemetery on Los Padillas Road just West of Coors Blvd. Reception will follow at Roxanne�s house at 1313 Tobacco Rd SW.
