Richard Sanchez

Sanchez, Richard Age 60, passed away Friday, December 16, 2011. He was born in Albuquerque, NM on March 24, 1951, to Raymond M. and Esther (Costalez) Sanchez. Mr. Sanchez served in the US Navy. He returned to the Albuquerque area before moving to El Reno, OK where he worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons as a Counselor. He moved to Rio Rancho, NM upon his retirement seven years ago from FCI-El Reno. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, boating on the lakes, playing Texas Hold 'em and watching movies. Mr. Sanchez is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Theresa Gomez; and brother, Raymond Sanchez. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Geneva, of Rio Rancho, NM; son, Richard Sanchez, of Monroe, OK; daughter, Amoree Trujillo, of Albquerque, NM; stepdaughters, Billie Padilla and her husband, Carl, of Los Lunas, NM, and Bobbie Valdez and her husband, Enrique, of Belen, NM; 14 grandchildren; siblings, Christine Sanchez, Loretta Dietrich, Diane Otero, Amy Sanchez, Ron Sanchez, and Robert Sanchez; and many nieces and nephews. The Rosary will be recited at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Road SE. Following the Rosary, the Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, also at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Interment with US Navy Honors will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM. Mr. Sanchez' care has been entrusted to:
