Rick Parker, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2024, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, at the age of 63. Born on May 17, 1961, in Bellingham, Washington, Rick lived a life filled with passion, dedication, and love for his family and community.
A graduate of Hudson's Bay High School, Rick embarked on his educational journey at the University of Washington, where he laid the groundwork for a fulfilling career. For thirty-three years, he served as a Store Manager, showcasing not only his leadership skills but also his unwavering commitment to his team and customers.
Rick's heart was rooted deeply in his faith, which found expression through his memberships at Word of Life in Vancouver, Washington, and Faith Church in Rio Rancho. He cherished the time spent in worship, nurturing his spiritual life alongside his beloved family.
Though Rick had many interests, including golf and reading, it was the time he spent with his family that stood above all else. His wife, Lorene Parker, was the love of his life, and together they created a rich tapestry of memories that their children will carry with them forever. He was a proud father to Bailey Hawkins, Holly Parker, Whitney Parker, and Kiersten Burns, each of whom held a special place in his heart. The laughter and joy of his grandchildren, Rylee Hawkins, Phoenix Hawkins, Avery Parker, and Cade Parker, brought an unparalleled happiness to his life as he lovingly embraced his role as "Papa."
Rick is remembered fondly by his siblings—Shelly Clasey, Patrick Gannon, Jennifer Schindler, Michelle Parker, and Tyler Parker—who shared countless memories and support throughout their lives. Although he is reunited with his late father, Richard Parker, mother Lyle Gannon, and step-father Michael Gannon, Rick's spirit continues to shine brightly in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
His legacy of love, kindness, and commitment to family will inspire all who remember him. Rick Parker will be deeply missed, but his memory will undoubtedly live on in the lives of his family and friends, a testament to a life well-lived and a heart that knew no bounds.
