Rickie Rick"" James Horn

HORN-RICKIE "RICK" JAMES HORN, 45, of Kirtland passed away Monday, August 3, 2009 at Kinder Hospital in Albuquerque. Rickie was born January 19, 1964 in Grand Junction, Colorado the son of Daniel Allen Horn and Barbara Joan (Palavanchi) Horn. He and his family moved to San Juan County in 1972. He attended and later graduated from Kirtland Central High. Rickie married Joyce Darlene Hazen in Aztec in 1988 and this marriage was later solemnized in the Monticello, Utah LDS Temple. Born to this marriage were two handsome sons, Daniel Elliott Horn and John Michael Anthony Horn. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-days Saints Kirtland 2nd Ward. Besides his wife and two sons, Rickie is survived by his mother Barbara J. Horn of Kirtland; brothers Norman Gifford and wife Linda of Colorado and Daniel Allen Horn and wife Olgea of New Mexico; sisters Alayne Ayers and husband Troy of Florida and Barbara Gifford of Colorado; many nieces and nephews. Rickie was preceded in death by his father Daniel Allen Horn and his brother John Michael Gifford. Honorary pallbearers are Daniel Elliott Horn, Colton Kennedy, Jeremy Heslop, Brad Duncan, Jim Jones, Daniel Allen Horn, John Michael Anthony Horn, and John Kennedy In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Rickie's name to help defray the funeral costs to: Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute St., Farmington, NM 87401.
