Rita M. Rodriguez Garcia, 71, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2107. She was born on May 22, 1945 in Praxedis G. Guerrero, D.B. Chihuahua to Daniel and Martina Rodriguez. Rita is survived by her husband, Moses Garcia; her five children: Bernadette (Adrian); Raul Fernando (Sharon); Patricio (Geraldine); Brenda (Nancy) and Luis (Julie); 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; her brothers and sisters: Rebecca (Felix); Daniel (Gloria); Hilda (Raul); Jose (Yolanda); and Juan Manuel (Julie); numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Christine Dailey (mother-in-law); Angelina Perez (aunt). Rita worked for Levi Strauss from 1967 as a seamstress until she retired in 1985. In Rita’s free time she enjoyed birds, roses, watching her grandchildren, and telling stories about family history. Her giant heart and riveting stories will forever live on in the hearts of her family. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Queen of Heaven, 5311 Phoenix Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 10:00 am at Queen of Heaven. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
