Rita Ione Hruden

Rita Ione Hruden, age 92, passed away December 8, 2019.  She was born May 14, 1927 in Port Dover, Ontario, Canada to Jack and Fern Fritsley.  She married Walter Hruden on May 24, 1946 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.  They were married for 65 years, until his passing.  She was employed by Union Retail Clerks for 25 years.  She loved wedding cakes, holiday candy, and a variety of crafts.  She was an avid reader of Christian fiction and non Christian books.  She was dedicated to her church, family and friends.  She was a Church Soloist in her early years.  She was a member of Calvary Chapel, Rio Rancho.  She participated in Prison Ministry, Bible Studies, was a Sunday School Teacher and choir member.  Our family is comforted in knowing that she has gone home to be with the Lord she served all of her life. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Hruden; sister, Verna Watkinson; brother, William Fritsley; and parents, Jack and Fern Fritsley.

Rita is survived by her son, Thomas Hruden of Murrieta, CA; daughter, Pamela Toubeaux of Baker, OR; son, David Hruden of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Patricia Coomb; grandchildren, Nicole, Michelle, James, Bridget, Austen, Kaytee; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and her cats, Joey, Ginger and Jake.

Services will be held February 6, 2020, (Thursday) 1:00 PM, Calvary Chapel in Rio Rancho, NM.  Reception will follow.
