Rita Montoya

Montoya, Rita Loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend went home to be with the Lord our Savior, Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at the age of 91. Rita loved her family and those who were close to her.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Fidencio Montoya; daughter Alice Esquibel; grand-daughter Mary Montano; grandsons, Dominique Montano and Gerald Luna II. Rita is survived by daughters, Josie Montano and husband Andy, Evangelina Luna and husband Dimas, Diana Tober and husband Wayne, Elaine Herrera and husband Steven; son, Joe Montoya; sister Mela Montano; six children; 16 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren and numerous other extended family and friends. Rita will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Rosary to be recited Monday, October 29, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 Fourth Street NW, where the Service of Christian Burial will follow at 9:00 a.m. Interment will take place Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Margaret Montoya, Andrea Jaramillo, Roberta Montano, Theresa Gutierrez, Donna Carranza, Denise Irizarry.
