Graveside services for Rita Ann Nelson, 48, will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 29, in family plot, 8 miles east of Steamboat Chapter. Visitation was 6 p.m., Dec. 24. A rosary will be 1 p.m., today, Dec. 28, at Tse Bonito Mortuary. Nelson died Dec. 23, 2009, in Steamboat. She was born April 26, 1961, in Mid-Werry, Ariz., into the Black Streak Forest People Clan for the Mexican People Clan. Nelson worked in Grand Canyon, Show Low, Gallup and Utah as a house keeper. Her hobbies included walking, cleaning, crossword puzzles, playing cards, spending time with family, helping other people at gatherings with food and cooking and visiting relatives. She attended school in Wingate and Toyei. Survivors include her son, Edison Bahe; daughter, Elvina Bahe; father, Thomas Nelson Sr.; grandparents, Lena and John Sam. Pallbearers will be Fermen Nelson, Irvin Toledo Jr., Ira Jones, Irvin Jones, Julius Bitsui, Emerson Thompson, Eric Bahe, Eddie Bahe, Lester Bahe, Manuel Toledo.
