Rita Ann Payne

Rita Ann Ansley-Payne was born on January 6, 1959 to Earnestine Carter and Willie Ansley in Hobbs, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her Grandmother, Emily Jones; Mother, Earnestine Carter; Father, Willie Ansley; sister, Betty Jean Carter (Big D); and nephew, Malcolm Carter. Rita has three living sisters Betty Ruth Moreno of The Bronx, NY, Mary Louise Carter of Atlanta GA, and Chiquita Prudhomme, Richardson TX and one brother Philip Henry Carter of Kansas City, Kansas along with a host of nephews and nieces who all loved her very much. Rita lived in Hobbs, NM until she moved to Albuquerque, the first time back in the 1980’s where she had two children Cherry Ansley and Kaheem Roshad (Ricky) Ansley. She moved back to Hobbs, NM and married Lloyd Payne who also preceded her in death.

Rita embraced life in spite of her disabilities with a kind demeanor, loving spirit, and generous heart. She had great friends and a loving Caregiver, Kitty Harris. Rita loved the Lord and was baptized in Christ.

 On Saturday, November 23, 2019, God whispered her name and she answered to live with Him in Heaven with her family.
