Robert "Bobby" Gomez

Gomez, Robert 52, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 1, 2014. He was born in Socorro, NM on November 29, 1961 to Pauline (Saavedra) Vergara. Robert, or "Bobby" as he was affectionately known was a lifelong resident of Socorro. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. This year, Bobby found his faith and salvation in the Lord and found peace during his illness. Bobby was a free spirit and loved helping others. He often gave advise and shared his mistakes, life struggles and trials with others in hopes to guide and help those closest to him. Bobby was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and could make anyone laugh. He dreamed of owning a Harley Davidson and riding with his brother. He adored his mother, his rock, and loved all of his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents; his brothers, Flavio Apodaca; Ramon Apodaca; James Price; and James Anderson; and his sisters, Rosemary Lopez; and Rose Price. Bobby is survived by his loving mother; his loving sister, Mary Rodriguez; his devoted brother, Ramon "Wedo" Vergara; his nephew, Jalen Vergara; and his niece, Tiara Vergara and many other loving nieces, nephews and other family members and close friends.
