Robert J. Henry Jr.

Robert J. Henry, Jr. (Bob), age 64 passed away suddenly on August 11, 2016 in Albuquerque.  Bob was born on August 18, 1951 in Dallas, TX.  He was raised in Las Vegas, NM and graduated from SMU with a degree in Business Administration.  Bob retired from Qwest Communications in 2007.  He was loved and renowned for his passion for life, abundance of friends, and larger than life personality.  Bob was an avid sports enthusiast, especially of his beloved Cowboys, Lobos, and BKK Softball Team. He could often be found savoring a quality glass of wine amongst friends and family.  Bob treasured time spent with his grandchildren; was a generous, loyal soul with a heart of gold; and was a friend to all.  

He leaves behind his loving wife of 21 years, Lynette; two children, Ericka DeCourcey (Mike), and Amanda Holzer (Dan); Seven grand children; brother, Philip Henry (Mary), and sister Carol Conkle (Larry).  Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. Sr. and Nada Henry.

A Memorial Service, celebrating Bob’s life, will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, 11:00 a.m., at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Wyoming with a reception to follow.  In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The MD Anderson Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
