Robert Lockwood

Robert M Lockwood 1932-2020 Dad was predeceased by his wife, love of his life, best friend, and fellow adventurer, our beautiful Mom, Mary A Lockwood. He leaves behind, 3 daughters, Rochelle M Scott, Jannette H Ferrel, and Tamara A Scroggs and their spouses, 9 Grandchildren, their spouses, and 13 Great grandchildren Robert came into this world wanting to live life to the fullest. He was self-employed most of his life and was always a hard worker. He married Mom at an early age, and then the adventures really began. He said, he could never have achieved what he had, if he hadn’t had Mom by his side. He moved his young family consisting of, Mom, and us 3 girls, to Australia. We spent most of our childhood growing up there and eventually returned to California. Dad became a pilot at an early age, loved flying, and could identify anything in the skies unless it had feathers on it. He spent many years as a small local airport manager, called Enterprise Sky Park. He loved his airplanes. Once a grandfather, one of his favorite things to do, was pile the kids into the car, (the Green Machine, and later, Trucky Lucky) and make a fast trip to the Dollar Store. Almost every grandchild got to experience this treat. With Grandpa and five dollars in hand, they felt rich. His last move with Mom, was to New Mexico. Which he absolutely loved. He encouraged as many as he could to move here. We want to say a word for where our parents were for their last few years of their lives. We cannot say enough about the facility Good Samaritan Society in Socorro. They were always in the best of hands. Always, professional, loving and caring towards them both. Our parents were blessed with many more years because of the care they received at Good Samaritans. We will never be able to thank them enough. Currently, there are no services scheduled for Robert.
