Robert Richey

Robert Richey, was born February 28, 1926 in Jersey City, New Jersey, and was called by our Lord on July 10, 2014. We have lost a wonderful, loving, husband, father and grandfather. His friendly smile, sense of humor, and generous spirit to others will be missed. Bob (as he preferred) will be especially remembered for his love of family, gardening, cruising, and participation in their church in Maryland as a head usher. He served in the Army Air Corps from 1943 -1946, when upon his discharge; he married his wife of 65 years, Mary Jane. Upon his retirement from the phone company, he enjoyed some 15 cruises with his loving wife, who predeceased him one month ago. Robert is survived by his son, Robert M. Richey, his daughter, Diane R. Pellechio, son-in-law, Anthony Pellechio, granddaughter's Megan and Caitlin Pellechio, and great-grandchildren, Angelica, Elizabeth, and Evelyn. He was predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Deborah Richey. A funeral mass will be celebrated by Father Thomas Noesen at Risen Savior Catholic Community Church, 7701 Wyoming Blvd, NE, at 10 am, Tuesday, July 15th. Robert�s wish was for donations to be made to the Roadrunner Food bank in lieu of flowers.
