Robert James Sorensen

Robert James Sorensen of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away on February 20, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born on January 22, 1932, to Orson James Sorensen and Rosebud Stanley. 

Robert attended school in Idaho before serving in the Navy. Following his military service, he pursued a career with AT&T. He married Beulah Banks, and they shared 51 years of marriage. Robert was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 

He is survived by his son, Michael Sorensen; daughter-in-law, Relda Sorensen; daughter, Gwen Sorensen; sister, Donna Packard; and grandchildren Bill Sorensen, Julianna White, Jason Sorensen, Christy Sorensen, Caleb Farmer, Joshua Farmer, Orrin Farmer, Eli Farmer, Jonas Farmer, Gabrielle Farmer, and Shylo Farmer. 

The family extends their gratitude to Casita Senior Living for their care and support of Robert. He will be remembered by those who knew him. 

A viewing will be held on February 28, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6000 Kachina St. NW, Albuquerque, NM, with the funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho, NM.
