Robert Barnes Winterbottom

May 5, 1928 — May 30, 2014

Winterbottom, Robert Barnes Robert Barnes Winterbottom spread his wings peacefully on May 30, 2014. A soldier, Beautician, Father, Husband and a Grandpop, Robert was born May 5 1928 in Norstown, PA... he moved his family to Albuquerque, NM in 1958. He is survived by his brother Happy Jack, four sons Gene, Robert, Daniel and William, daughter Marianne, seven grand-kids and five great-grand kids. He proudly served his country in the Army during World War II as a rifleman, drummer and trumpet player. Beautician by trade, he also played the organ and loved to practice and learn the Spanish language talking to anyone who would listen or teach him a new word or sentence.. He loved his wife of 58 years surviving her for over 4 years. His kids always came first and loved them unconditionally. He loved to spend time as the horse track playing nickel Keno and playing free poker tournaments in Austin, TX where he visited family frequently. He loved watching and betting on Baseball games cheering on his Dodgers and routing against "A bunch of Crooks!" the Yankees. The family is not holding services at his request as his family celebrated his life with him during his final days where he brought everyone together to laugh, cry and pray together by his side. In lieu of flowers donations may be given in his honor to The ALS Association NM Partner 2309 Renard Pl SE Ste. 202 Albuquerque, NM 87106 or online at www.alasnm.org "Therefore. If any man be Christ.
