Roland "Raul" Lovato, 60, passed away September 30, 2016. He was born February 10, 1956 to Gilbert H. and Theresa M. (Baca) Lovato. Roland is survived by his wife, Ann M. Lovato of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Antoinette M. Oechsler of Phoenix, AZ; grandson, Elijah D. Lovato of Albuquerque, NM; grandson, Michael V. Oechsler, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ; granddaughter, Cadence R. Oechsler of Phoenix, AZ; mother, Theresa M. Leaton of Bernalillo, NM; siblings, Norman Lovato (Angel), Yolanda Grundhoffer (Greg), Billy Leaton, Pierre Leaton, Irene Mora, Charlotte Roberts (Wayne) of Albuquerque, NM, and Tammie Martinez (Mike) of San Antonio, TX as well as numerous nieces, nephews and Godchildren.
Roland had a lifelong love for the Dallas Cowboys football team, which he instilled in his siblings, daughter and grandson, Mikey. His passion for golf was shared with his brother, Norman and the family is confident that he is enjoying the most beautiful golf courses he has ever seen, in heaven. Roland was a loving husband who was the sole caretaker of his beloved wife, Ann. His devotion to fatherhood was apparent to all, as his love for his daughter, Annie, was abundant and she was the sunshine of his life. Being a grandparent was the highlight of his life as he beamed with joy over all three grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Wyoming Chapel. A reception will follow in the Wyoming Sun Room Reception Center from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations to cover medical and funeral expenses at Bank of the West to the Roland Lovato Memorial Fund.
