Rolando Serna

Serna, Rolando Sr.
Age 81, Beloved husband, father and grandfather, peacefully went home to be with the Lord, while surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, brother and daughter Deborah. He is survived by his loving and caring wife Ida of 58 years, his son Rolando Serna Jr., granddaughters; Renee Sanchez and Senida Sandoval, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as his brother Steven Serna and sister Virginia Sanchez.
He made his career as a truck driver, loved his Harley Davidson, enjoyed telling stories and liked to tell jokes. Rolando served his country during the Korean war in the U.S. Air Force. His whole life was his family, whom he loved dearly. Rolando has left a huge void in our lives, which will never be the same, he will be greatly missed by his loving family and by so many others whose lives he touched. He will forever be in our hearts!
A rosary will be recited on Thursday February 18th, at 6:30 pm at the Carlisle Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church on Friday February 19th, at 1:00 pm.
Pallbearers will be Rolando Serna Jr., Patrick Sanchez, Adrian Rosas, Nick Garcia, Steve Padilla, Jimmy Vigil and honorary pallbearer Patrick Sanchez.
