1929 – 2017

On Saturday November 25, Nita blinked her eyes, and when she opened them, waved goodbye to her sister, 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren and a wealth of great-grandchildren.

In life Nita was known for her delicious recipes, creative crafting, love to dance, biting wit, and her love for roses. Nita loved and cared for her roses and her love helped them bloom and grow beautifully; she said that when she died she would ask God, “Why do roses have thorns?” Nita never realized the roses were merely a reflection of herself. Nita had many thorns protecting her, but with love and care we could see past the thorns to the beautiful rose Romanita truly was.

In a mere blink of an eye Nita said goodbye to all of us, and turned to be greeted by her mother, youngest sister, and husband Johnny, rose in hand, waiting for her next best dance.
