Ronald C Engquist

Engquist, Ronald Calvin 62, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 25, 2013. He was born in Grand Island, NE on April 2,1951 to Calvin Franklin and Elizabeth Ida (Mohr) Engquist. After graduating from Omaha North High in 1969, he attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha. In 1977, Ronald moved to Socorro to attend New Mexico Tech University of Mining and Technology. He graduated with an Associates degree. Ronald was very devoted to his faith and he attended the First Baptist Church of Socorro. In September of 1987, Ronald was injured and after many years of enduring pain, he finally went to be with his Lord and Savior. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents. Ronald is survived by his brothers, Dennis Engquist and wife, Cathy of Brookfield, MO; and Douglas Engquist of Lemitar, NM; his niece, Kristen Schnetzler; and many loving friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church Socorro, 203 Spring Street, Socorro with Rev. Ronald always loved animals, especially cats. He was always adopting strays, feeding and helping injured animals.
