Ronald Dean Mestas

Ronald Dean Mestas, 60, of Bloomfield passed away in Bloomfield February 26, 2009. He was born in Collbran, Colorado on April 14, 1948 to Frank and Mary Samora Mestas. Ronald moved from Utah to New Mexico in 1982. He served with the United States Army from 1966 - 1970. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and playing Yhtzee. Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria J. Mestas, his father and three brothers. He is survived by a son, Ronald Dean Mestas, Jr., daughter, Candance Lee Mestas, stepsons, Mark Walker and Joshua Ward, stepdaughters, Carla Hall, Lisa Martinez and Crystal Mathis, mother, Mary J. Mestas of Grand Junction, Co, sisters, Pasty Mott (Ernie) of Bloomfield, Vickie Jaramillo of Aztec, Brenda Tafoya (Henry) of Grand Junction, Susan Tash (Albert) of Sacramento, CA and brothers, Robbin and Brian Mestas of Bloomfield, Lonnie Mestas of Grand Junction, CO and Roger Mestas of Crown Point, NM. Also surviving are numerous nieces, grand nieces, nephews, grand nephews and grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Brian Mestas, Ernie Mott, Sr., Ernie Mott, Jr., Henry Tafoya, Nicky Jaramillo, Eric Jaramillo, Zebulen Koenig, Frankie Hendershot, Jeremy McKnight and Joseph Mathis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brian Mestas, Angel Lockhart, Beau Green, Caleb Green, Timothy Tafoya, Ronald Lockhart, Anthony Jaramillo, Tristian Jaramillo, Nakia Jaramillo, and Mark Walker.
