Rosalie Gallegos

GALLEGOS- Rosalie Gallegos, 80 years old and a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, morning March 13, 2009. Mrs. Gallegos is survived by her daughter Evelyn Serna; her sons, Bernardo Gallegos, Jr., Anthony Gallegos and wife Martina; 13 grandchildren, Dominic, Derek, Tasha, Armando, Bernardo III, Mario, Caden, Jessica, Monica, Collette, Reina, Augusta, and Felicia; and great-granddaughter, Janelle. She was preceded in death by her husband Bennie Gallegos; and granddaughter, Rosalea. Rosalie retired from Sandia Labs after 37 years of service. Rosalie's life was characterized by an unending devotion to her family and to her Catholic Faith. She was a devout believer in the power of education. Her kids and grandkids often heard her say "anything else can be taken away from you, but they can't take your education". She was a kind and generous woman to everyone including strangers. Pallbearers will be, Armando Gallegos, Bernardo Gallegos, III, Mario Gallegos, Dominic Serna, and Joseph Aragon, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ruben Aragon, William Aragon, Mike Cardwell, Carlos Duran, Eddie Telles, and Wilfred Chacon.
