Rose Garson, 95, passed away peacefully at home among her family on Thursday, June 15, 2017. She was born in Sicily, Italy in 1921 and arrived in Philadelphia at the age of 11. In 1942 she and her husband, John, moved to Albuquerque. Together they founded Garson & Sons, Inc. in 1958. Her great joy in life, other than her family, was in being of service to the Catholic Church and its priests and religious.
She was the dear mother of Mark, David, Robert, Thomas (Laura), Peter (Rita), and Paul. She was preceded by her beloved daughters, Mimi and Elizabeth; her sons, John and Christopher; her husband, John. She was the cherished grandmother of Mark, Adam, Rachel, Emily, Jennifer, Angela, Valerie, Rosie, and John; as well as numerous great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Joseph Capasso.
A Visitation and Rosary will be held Monday, June 19, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd NE, Albuquerque. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, any gifts be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in honor of their beloved Mimi to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Rocky Mountain Chapter, 400 S. Colorado Blvd., Suite 840, Denver, CO 80246
