Rose Patone

Patone, Rose Age 97, was called home to our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 with her loving family by her side. She was born on December 16, 1915 to Luigi and Rosaria (LaForte) Ferreri in the Bronx, NY. She was a seamstress for many years. Mrs. Patone will be remembered for her love of spending time with her family, especially Sunday dinners. She, also enjoyed playing Bingo and cards. She was preceded in death by her husband, Salvatore Patone, in 1985; son, John L. Patone, and was the last surviving child of five children. Mrs. Patone is survived by her son, Gary Patone, and wife, Kathy, of Long Island, NY; grandchildren, Kimberly Miller and husband, Wayne, Adam Patone, Lynda Kitts and husband, Stanlee, Denise Knickle and husband, Harold, and John Patone; great-grandchildren, Kayla Patone, Stephanie Martin and husband, William, and Michael McDougal and wife, Debra; great-great-grandchild, Kane McDougal; chosen "daughter," Rose "Rosie" Rizzo; and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing and Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Sara Chapel, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM, also at Daniels Family Funeral Services. The Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 28, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd NW, Albuquerque. Inurnment will take place at a later date when she will be laid to rest with her husband, Salvatore, in Long Island, NY.
