Rose Sehr

SEHR- Rose Sehr, 80, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM since 1973, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Mrs. Sehr was born on September 17, 1930 to Majer and Mana (Furman) Kalisiak of Havana, Cuba. She will be remembered for being very active in supporting animal rescue organizations, researching her genealogy, stamp and coin collecting. She was a member of the Jewish Center of Rio Rancho, NM. Mrs. Sehr was very generous with her family and those she cared about. She cherished her son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Sehr in 2005. She is survived by her son, Steven Sehr and his wife, Susan, of Rio Rancho, NM; grandchildren, Graeme Lowry, China Lowry and her fiancée, Christopher Samuelson, Stuart Sehr, Mason Sehr, Sean Sehr, and Megan Sehr; and a sister, Berta Alvarez, of Lakeland, FL. The Funeral Service will be held today, March 24, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 4310 Sara Road SE, Rio Rancho, NM, with Rabbi Deborah Brin, officiant. Interment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho, NM. Pallbearers will be Stuart Sehr, Mason Sehr, Sean Sehr, Graeme Lowry, Chris Samuelson, Sean McMullan. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the animal charity of your choice would honor Mrs. Sehr’s life and will be greatly appreciated.
