NENAHNEZAD/FRUITLAND Roselyn Armenta Nov. 21, 1935 - June 12, 2011 Roselyn Armenta, 75, of Nenanhnezad/Fruitland, passed from this life on Sunday, June 12, 2011, in Farmington. She was born in Daa Nahastaa Nov. 21, 1935, to Nancy Teswood and Heliegh Joe. Her mother was Taa Chi Ni. In her younger years, Roselyn loved herding sheep and taming wild horses. She was a rugweaver, a homemaker and the stay-at-home mother of five children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Paul Armenta; her parents, Nancy Teswood and Heliegh "Friday" Joe; and her sister, Pauline Tsosie. Roselyn is survived by her sons, Roger Armenta and Jerry Armenta; daughters, Genevieve Armenta, Darlene Armenta and Cheryl Armenta; brothers, Jackson Bunny and Sam Pinto; sisters, Etta George, Irene Nez, Sarah Begay and Roselyn Lorraine Thompson; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers are Jatee Thomas, Jeremy Hoskie, Sebashtian Thomas, Lucal Greyhorse, Jimmy Nez, Jr. and Walter Harvey Jr. Arrangements are with Cope Memorial Kirtland Chapel, 458 County Road 6100, (505) 598-9636.
