Rosemary Marguerite De Palma

February 7, 1920 — November 14, 2015

Rosemary De Palma, 95, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015.  She was born in St. Louis Missouri in 1920 to John and Ida Breitenbach.  She grew up in St. Louis as the youngest child in a very close knit family.  During the Depression, her family moved to Lebanon Missouri, where she was the valedictorian of her high school class.

She later returned to St. Louis, where she met and married her husband, Nat De Palma, who preceded her in death.  Rosemary was the heart of her family – a loving wife,  stay at home mother to her three children Brent (who preceded her in death), Jane and Kevin, daughter-in-law Claudea, loving grandmother and caregiver to her grandchildren Natalie, Phillip his wife Johanna, and KayCi, and a great grandmother to Colton, Katie, Marcus and Madeline.  She was also a loving aunt and cousin.

She was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinal fan, Lady Lobo fan, lover of Boston terriers, and a terrific cook.  She was a long-time volunteer at The Storehouse and member of Faith Lutheran Church.  She was one smart, strong, feisty lady, who will be a tough act to follow.

A celebration of her life will be held in the spring at Sunset Memorial Park, which will be her final resting place.  If you would like to make contributions in her honor, please do so to the charities which are most meaningful in your lives.
