RoseMary Tafoya Rivas

RoseMary Tafoya Rivas, 61, was received by our Lord in heaven on November 10, 2009, with her family by her side, in Farmington , NM . She was born January 16, 1948 at home in Rio Arriba County to Clara and Alvaro Tafoya. RoseMary spent summers dancing and spending time with her lifelong friends, Mary Ann Salazar and Chon Black. She graduated from Chama High School in 1965. Her home town is where she met the love of her life, Guillermo Rivas. Her interests included family, reading books and keeping up with current events. She devoted much of her time and energy to her family, including her children and grandchildren. RoseMary is survived by her brothers, Pat Tafoya and wife Lori; brother, Richard Tafoya; five children and their spouses, Yolanda and Chad Jennings; Angela Rivas; William and Jamie Rivas; Andrea and William Montoya; Joanna Tafoya and 11 grandchildren, Andrew, Haley, Steven, Lillian, Caleb, Gabrial, Alie, Aria, Reanna, Jericho and Patrick. She was preceded in death by her father, Alvaro Tafoya; her husband, Guillermo Rivas and a brother Abe Tafoya. RoseMary was an organ donor and many people have benefited from her generosity. Thanks Mom for doing this small act of kindness for your family. The family asks all that attend not to wear traditional black.
