Rosetta (Williams) Kimmel

Ona Rosetta (Williams) Kimmel Dec. 20, 1925 - Dec. 4, 2009 Ona Rosetta (Williams) Kimmel, 83, of Farmington, passed peacefully from this life on Friday, Dec. 4, 2009 at Cedar Ridge Inn in Farmington. Born in Oklahoma in 1925, she grew up and lived most of her life in Farmington. She was married to first to Clay Estes and secondly to Raymond Kimmel. She retired from First National Bank after 25 years. Ona was preceded in death by father, Arthur Williams; mother, Theo Williams; sister, Helen VanDongen and brother-in-law, Lawrence VanDongen; brother, Sid Williams and sister-in-law, Phyllis Williams; nephews, Larry and Jack VanDongen; and husband, Raymond Kimmel. Survivors include daughter, Carol (Fred) Rothlisberger; stepdaughters, Dorothy (Lee) Burkett, Debbie Hannis; stepson, Chuck (Sherry) Kimmel; five granddaughters; six grandsons; seven great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews. Pallbearers are Robert Rothlisberger, Alex Copia, Deewayne McFarland, Norman Garrison, Sherman Wheat, and Mike Sickenger. Special thanks go to Dr. Burns for 40 years of caring, and to Ona's extended family at Eastside Church of Christ. Mother and Grandmother was a courageous, independent, loving, woman. She leaves a void in our lives that cannot be filled, but we are thankful that her suffering is over and she has truly "gone home."
